Running for California State Treasurer

Kevin Akin is running for California State Treasurer in the primary election of June 5, 2018. He seeks to represent the working-class majority of Californians, not the wealthy who typically bankroll (and largely control) elected officials. His standard for judging all political questions is “what is good for the working class?” Racism, war, poverty, lack of democracy, and predatory capitalism are not good for the working class, and he rejects them.

Over the next few months, Kevin Akin will be presenting solutions for the problems forced on us by the billionaires and their servants in office. Watch this space for his discussions of specific issues and his proposals for the changes we need.

I like your platform for this obscure State job, particularly the state bank establishment. The ballot lists you as a retired steam engineer, while your website lists you as a retired hospital employee. I’m retired from representing boiler operators/mechanics and HVAC techs at the bargaining table. Wondering where you worked and if you had a union affiliation.
